[She takes it, and completes the motion, stepping in to give him a big hug.]

Iida-kun.

[Few works, but. Yeah.]

[He's stunned for a moment-- Lunatia has done wonders for his willingness to allow affection, but her immediate shift to it is still startling. He only hesitates a few seconds before he shifts his hands and wraps his arms around his shoulders, pulling her close.]

...it's good to see you again.

[She has taken to it, easily. There's even some telltale bruises on her neck that say more. She hasn't bothered to cover them up.]

You as well. I've missed you.

[He's not expressly paying attention-- until he draws back from her and the marks catch his eye. There's a moment of concern before he registers what they're more likely to be, and he squares his shoulders neatly, looking toward the ceiling for a solid few seconds. Absolutely not his place to question.]

Apologies again for my absence.

Don't. It's not your fault.

[She pats his back, pulling away and beaming up at him.]

Honestly, I was glad you went home. I had hoped you'd forgotten about all this, and that.

[He hums in thought, shaking his head.]

Really, here isn't so bad. We have things to accomplish, but... Of my options, I am not opposed to returning here if I must be away from home. How are things?

Oh, well enough, I suppose?

[Disentangling herself, she takes his hand and pulls him towards the cafe door.]

The moons are frustrating, and there was a strange incident with a cult right after you vanished. But I have had no trouble, really.

[He laughs softly, following with a nod.]

"Frustrating" is a good term. My first moon cycle I spent a few days without thumbs-- it's true what they say, that you don't know what you have until it's gone. I have never appreciated thumbs more.

[He proceeds to splay both of his hands flat and wiggle his thumbs, raising his eyebrows at her as he does so.]

...but more importantly, which moon are you under?

[That was...yes, that was pretty telling.]

Iris, the third one in the cycle.

[A pause on her end, mostly because she's amused.]

What do you turn into?

[He nods, quiet for a moment as he mentally places her on a checklist of the class.]

I'm under Sanguis-- the first go around I became a wolf? Hence the lack of thumbs. Since then it has been only simple changes, not a full-body episode. I can only hope it stays that way.

I just grew antlers for the first moon. But the triple moon, nothing.

[She is not going to say what happened during the triple moon. Actual wild horses could not drag it out of her.]

[Antlers! That's-- that's adorable. He hums in thought, rather than making a fuss about it-- Momo was likely the sort to be self-conscious about them, he didn't need to draw further attention toward them.]

The triple moon in my case was... Different, and a little strange, but significantly more tolerable. I just had minor traits of the wolf I'd entirely become during the Sanguis moon, in conjunction with some kind of scales. Upon further investigation and overview of Jiro-kun, who is also ruled by Sanguis, I believe the scales are based on varying breeds of koi fish.

[Why must he be so clinical.]

Koi?

[Well...okay...]

That's a regal thing, at least.

Fitting. Though, you being wolfish? I find that a little hard to believe. except for the pack instincts you have.

[He makes the slightest of faces at that-- he's a little apprehensive of strutting his family's status, after all. He does laugh, at her questioning of him being wolfish, reaching the cafe door and holding it open for her.]

I suppose you could say I have my moments? It isn't a trait I'm proud of.

[Anger is a thing he struggles with, infrequently. Remember when he just hauled off and punched Izuku because he was stressed out? Yeah.]

No? Well, I think you've got a better handle on it than most people. I mean, look at some of our classmates.

[Bakugou, for instance.]

[That earns her another laugh, and he wags a finger at her gently.]

Now now, wolfish qualities aren't all bad. Uraraka-kun was also ruled by Cordis, and I daresay she in one of the least wolf-like of us.

I don't know...after our internships she certainly developed a killer instinct.

[Seriously!]

[He smiles, humming thoughtfully and taking a look around the little cafe.]

...where would you prefer to sit?

By a window? It's too warm for outside today, I think, but I'd like to see the city regardless.

[Howzzat?]

[He makes a pleased affirmative sound at that, nodding, and moves them to a booth near a window, gesturing for Momo to have a seat first.]

Do we order here, or up at the counter...? I can't say I've ever actually been in here.

[A server walks up and waves as they take a seat.]

I take your order, young man. What would you like?

[He...probably has octopus tentacles for hair, because reasons.]

[Iida manages to spin himself around so quickly he nearly gives himself whiplash, sitting abruptly and very, very stiffly in his seat. It takes him a moment to completely relax, and even then he still looks slightly uptight. ...When does he not, though.]

Apologies! I did not see or hear your approach. Um-- could you give me and my classmate a moment? I have-- not been here before to know your menu.

Of course!

[And Octolad slides away, leaving them with menus.

Momo settles in, shrugging.]

Take your time. Most of what I've tried here is good, though.

[He smiles at her briefly, picking up the menu.]

Well if it's to your standards, then, I have high hopes. Do you have a favorite?

Oh yes, they have really nice black tea. I don't recall if you prefer that or coffee...

[She should know this, but forgive her.]
