Momo's hands close around Jiro's, and she nods. Confidently!]

[Yes, even if she's feeling lonely, that is important.

The depth of it she doesn't understand yet, though.]

[Yep - fortunately for Momo, Jiro is always easy to read past the rather neutral face.
She ends up nodding a little, though, looking at their hands for a second before moving to go seat herself on the sofa - and only letting go of one of Momo's hands to make that happen, of course.

She ends up flopping down with her tail wrapped around from behind her, coiling up in her lap.]

I know it's not worth the effort to ask if you'll laugh or get mad or whatever, so...
I guess, to start, I'm not actually lonely?

I was doing pretty good in there by myself, listening to whatever. It's a brand new CD, so it's nice to have a chance to sit and listen to it with no distractions, you know?

[... And yet she heard the front door open over it, somehow.]

[Momo settles down, keeping close, still holding her friend's hand. She's puzzled now. Because that doesn't really make sense...]

Then why do you want me to stay so badly? It was clearly upsetting you.

[Jiro's fidgeting again just to give her nerves a point to focus on, spinning the ring hanging around her neck on its chain as she stares down in front of her at nothing in particular.
Though her hand does tighten around Momo's for a second.]

... Don't get mad.

[Yeah, because saying that totally bodes well.]

I don't really get it myself, but the thought of you going out and talking to people kind of... i-it felt kinda like something really important was getting snatched up from me?
Like, that same kind of rush you get when one of the teachers takes your phone.

Even though it was something so small, like going to the store...

[That's all followed by a wince, though, leaving her looking a little ashamed. Like hearing it come out of her own mouth like that made her realize it's kind of... awful?
Or at least, she thinks it is.]

[Bodes well? Hell no.

Momo's quiet, listening a little more carefully than normal, so...basically hanging on every word instead of every other. It definitely is a little strange. And it is completely and totally awful...]

...So you got jealous of me maybe talking to a cashier?

[Just, so they're clear here. She never uses her phone in class, Jiro. She wouldn't know that feeling.]

Don't say it like that, that just makes it worse...!

[Said as she looks away completely so Momo can't see her face, definitely ashamed now.
But after a second, she nods.]

I don't even know why - I don't usually get like this, but it was just so sudden and intense that I hopped out of bed to come stop you without even thinking...

Is it the moon?

[The answer is obviously yes. But she wants to offer Jiro a chance to say that and to give herself an out.

Just a simple question, but maybe it will help.]

[She looks back over her shoulder at Momo, her face a beet red underneath all her little white scales.]

Maybe? I don't remember - I haven't read Midoriya's notes in a while...
But he did get most of his Sanguis stuff off of Uraraka while she was here, too.

I don't know if she can feel something like that.

I wouldn't think that you had it in you either, normally.

[That's just a fact. Sorry, Jiro, she thinks you're more sweet than punk.]

So, it seems likely. I recall Sanguis being described as 'territorial' in his notes.

[It's true, she's very soft under all that leather! But something other than that still gets her to frown.

"Territorial"...? Ugh - that's gross.

[... Of course, as she's saying this, she's just distracted enough to not notice her own tail sliding off her lap and shifting to stretch across Momo's instead.
Clearly with the intent to wrap around her middle, though it hasn't actually done so yet.

Because you can't help it any more than I can getting all heated during my moon.

[That seems like a truly obvious answer. She shifts a bit so that she can lean on Jiro, because there's no way that she hasn't figured out where the tail is going.]

It's likely a reflexive thing, that you don't even think about. And it's a habit we'll have to break eventually...because there will be an emergency one day during your moon, undoubtedly.

But today? It's alright.

[Jiro ends up going quiet for a moment after that, looking at Momo and the way she's leaning like that...
Before going ahead and wrapping that tail around her wholesale, consciously, with her arms going around her shoulders to match.]

Still feels awful. Especially because I still feel that way - I just want you right here, you know?

["All to myself" goes unsaid, but it's probably a little tangible in the way her hold tightens a bit.]

I mean...there are worse things you could want.

[Momo relaxes into the embrace, not really wanting to fight it. It's just something that cannot be helped today.]

Like I said, it's a habit we can work on breaking after today. But it's fine. Really, I'm not upset at all.

[Without much thought behind it, Jiro just puts her chin on top of Momo's head, holding her just that much closer.
It also helps hide the dumb blush and pout combo she's got going on. Because even with those words of encouragement, she can't help feeling awful...
In multiple ways.]

I'm glad you're not... I dunno what I'd do if you were mad at me.
I'll try to work on it, though.

... You're really warm.

[And Jiro's really cold, so, y'know. Of course Momo feels warm to her. Hopefully the hug's not TOO chilly.]

[That may help hide it, but Momo has an idea of how Jiro's reacting to all of this. She understands, and while it's a mild annoyance on her end, she's glad that Jiro isn't pushing her for anything more.

This could get weird, quickly.]

[Really, Jiro doesn't have any need to even ask for more; the hug's good enough! All the blushing is thanks to embarrassment - embarrassed that she felt like that in the first place, embarrassed that she acted on it, embarrassed that Momo had to sit her down and talk to her about it...

Though her jacks do perk up a bit on that remark. A happy sort of perk.]

Do I give good hugs or something?

[Asked as if she has no idea why Momo would like being held by her, of course.]

Well. Yes? You do give good hugs.

[She doesn't really know how else to say this, so she's just going to continue with the blunt train.]

...And because it's you? I trust you, Jiro.

[In a lot of ways, ways that she wouldn't with anyone else.]

- Oh. I guess that makes sense.

[Her tone's wobbly and a little flustered, but it's clear she's smiling despite it.
A good kind of flustered.

That's followed by a notable pause, though, as she mulls over the first question that sprung to mind... but after that, in a small, almost bashful voice, she goes ahead and asks it anyway.]

Does that mean I... make you feel safe?

...yes? Of course.

[See, she'd have said that about any of her classmates except for maybe three, though. Jiro's more someone she trusts on an emotional level, and her only companions on that pedestal are Todoroki and Iida.]

I feel very safe when I'm with you.

[While she might mean her trust is on an emotional level, Jiro's sure not taking it that way. ... Maybe a little, but mostly not.
Because, well. It makes her feel tough. And cool. And all the things she wants to be.

So she's happily gonna tuck that away for now and pull Momo a little closer.]

Then I'll keep doing what I can to keep it up.
Sorry if all that messed it up any, though... I don't even know how to start getting rid of these Moonblessing instincts or whatever they are, you know?

It feels... creepy.

[A short pause, in thought.]

... Maybe next time my cycle rolls around, I could go stay with someone else until it's over.

[Momo chuckles and a bit of her skin shimmers...letting her hold up some tape.]

Honestly? It should be okay. Just try your best to ignore them.

If it comes down to it, I'll just tape your door closed with this. I think the best way to overcome instincts is to train them, though. And that means finding ways to blunt them and punish transgressions.

[Yeah, it is definitely some of her patented super tape.]

...And getting you all caught in tape is harmless.

Jiro ends up pulling away a bit to see just what Momo's holding up, and she almost instantly looks flustered about it. Because yeah, isn't that stuff like...

... And then Momo says what she does, getting her to lean back even more with her fins starting to frill out and everything. Momo, did you forget she startles easily...]

I'm sorry - what? You mean, like...

[Her jacks motion a little, like that'll actually finish her sentence for her somehow.
But when she goes to continue, her voice is a little small and a little wobbly.]

... Like, tape me up?

[Ah, there's the reaction she had hoped for. Jiro's so cute when she's like this, but Momo is completely and totally serious. If it comes down to it...]

If absolutely necessary? Yes.

[She isn't always sunshine and rainbows, remember? She's a tactician and a strategist as well. And if Jiro needs to be punished, then that's something she can absolutely do.]

I trust you'll be able to curb your impulses, now that we're expecting them, though. Don't you?

[Everything in her brain is taking all of this and booking it, of course; is Momo really suggesting she'd punish her??
And with the tape, too, that's so...

Well obviously it's kind of hot, but it's actually kind of scary, too. Momo is absolutely, 100% capable of it, after all. It's not just some empty threat.
But man - why does she have to be such a scaredy cat...?

She ends up letting go wholesale, reaching up to hold onto and tug at her jacks like they're the drawstrings of a hoodie.]

- I mean... yeah. Of course. I'll... work harder on keeping myself in check...

[Momo shifts herself and this time it's her turn to pull Jiro into a hug. A big, bright, pleased one. Just to show she's not mad or anything.

And maybe for something more.]

I have absolute faith in you and your ability to beat this, Jiro. You know that, right?

[That is again, no exaggeration. Just like her threat.]
