[Hey, that's fair. Jiro wouldn't ask her to stop eating stuff she likes even if it were something like snake or koi. She's just not gonna partake, herself. It's probably fine.
She also still hasn't let go of Momo, either, though her hug's more around Momo's stomach after she'd shifted to give her back her arms.]
Wouldn't you want something heavier, though? You know - for your Quirk? Or is octopus fattier than I thought...
[There is zero judgment happening here!! She just wants to make sure Momo's Quirk is accounted for, okay, she cares about her... That, though, gets a little nod!]
That sounds good to me. Fortunately, it'll only be a couple of days... sorry that you've gotta put up with all this until then.
[She can't help thinking it must be difficult. Even though, in this case, she's the difficulty.]
[Jiro is more than happy to collect Momo right up, pulling her close and bringing one of her arms up just so she can wrap a hand around the back of her head. It's a very cozy sort of hold.
... Yet, she ends up heaving out something of a sigh despite it.]
Yeah, I guess... but it'd probably be nicer getting stuck with your normal best friend who doesn't pull this kinda crap in the first place.
[Even if she can't help it - and still feels it! - it still sucks.]
It would be nicer, yes, but we can't change what going on, can we?
[She doesn't think that fighting it is going to do either of them any good, realistically. Instincts are instincts, and she'd rather not get into a real fight with Jiro over something trivial.]
I plan to learn as much as I'm able whenever presented with the opportunity, and being that he's been here longer and he's... Midoriya-kun, I'm sure our resident muttering problem student has more insight.
[Jiro's quiet for a moment, as if she's actually trying to think if she does know something Momo doesn't... But ends up shrugging.]
Mmm. I've actually been trying to think of how to deal with it all day... but short of everything we've already thought of, I've got nothing. I've even tried going through all my ambient stuff... not even space rock helped me chill out.
By the time you were getting ready to head out, I was starting to think about taking a cold bath since the cold makes it harder for me to move and knocks me out...
Well, that can be a precautionary thing we do another time, if I really do need to leave for a bit. If you're getting all reptile on me, then a cold bath should be good.
[That does seem like a fine solution. If Jiro is sleepy, she can't get all fussy.]
Hate to say it, but "all reptile" is actually the norm. This is how my Moonblessings usually look... So I guess it's something we'll keep on the table.
[Jiro pauses for a moment, just to take a second and shift their position a little. Mostly for comfort's sake. She's got a lot of fins, man.]
Actually, that reminds me - I'm not too cold, right? Even Todoroki thought I was pretty chilly, so...
[Yeah, Jiro just ends up staring at her for a moment, the gears in her head clearly clicking a bit as she tries to use context to figure out what that means. 3/5 intelligence, Momo. 3/5.
... But it does seem to hit her after a second.]
- Cold-blooded, right. Yeah, it's... kind of normal for me. I don't think Kaminari or Iida have to worry about it, even though they're both Sanguis... but they mostly go wolf, anyway.
[Jiro pauses for a moment, starting to fiddle with one of her fins where her arms are wrapped around Momo. After the whole thing with the ring, the idea of Momo making things for her - for her - is...]
- Well, weighted would be cool. So I guess it'd probably be better if you made it, anyway... I can't think of anywhere I could get something like that, after all.
[He considers that, closing his eyes and tilting his head. He considers a quieter Midoriya, one who didn't mutter fervently when he was thinking, makes a face, and opens his eyes again.]
Absolutely not. If he didn't mutter like a madman when he was thinking, I'd never know what was going on in his head. Someone has to at least attempt to keep him from getting in trouble.
[She actually has to think on that a second, because, you know, coming up with patterns on the fly is more Momo's thing than it is Jiro's -]
- Oh, you remember my blanket from my dorm room? I haven't been able to find anything like it, here. I mean, there's tons of stuff with notes or checkerboard or whatever, but nothing like that, really.
[Plus it fits with the apartment's theme!! ... And maybe she's a little homesick. ... And maybe it'd be extra comforting because Momo made it okay, don't judge.]
